Darrell Bedoni Contemporary Love Flute

NATIVE AMERICAN FLUTES
NATIVE AMERICAN LOVE FLUTE BY DARRELL BEDONI
Native American flute is handmade by renowned Navajo flute maker Darrell Bedoni. Contemporary Love Flute is signed by the artist and includes a Certificate of Authenticity, picture of artist, leather pouch and music book.

Darrell Bedoni learned to make traditional love flutes from John Rainer, the Taos Pueblo native and celebrated flute player, while studying music at Brigham Young University in 1979. He has been designing and crafting Contemporary Love Flutes and Medicine Man Whistles in 1984. The distinguishing characteristic of Darrell’s flutes is a direct air flow, thus eliminating the need for the tuning block found on most native flutes. Flutes are used for ceremonial, religious and meditative purposes.

Contemporary Love Flute – also referred to as courting flute – in Native American musical tradition, the first love flute began their evolution as a pure American art form in a social context. Among Lakota and other Plains tribes, it was originally an instrument of courtship.
